Join us at our 19th annual Eat Local & Organic Expos for a chance to meet and buy directly from some of the best local, organic, and free-range farmers in the area. Snatch up early flower and garden seedlings, fresh greens, herbs, free-range meat and eggs and get our free Directory of local organic and free range producers. Getting a subscription to a farm (a CSA) gets you top pick of the best food in town.

Starting at 10:00 and held every hour on the hour, these 15 minute workshops will empower you with all of our best tips for making the most of the bounty available to us in the midwest!

Tomatoes 101- March 12

We believe that heirloom tomatoes are one of the best things about summer. We are super excited that one of KCFC member farmers will share some of his secrets to growing fantastic tomatoes.

Join John Cobine as he walks you through the basics of tomatoes: types of tomatoes, heirlooms vs hybirds, sowing, transplanting and caring for them. This is a hands on workshop and each person will get their own flat, insert and a dome to start up to 50 plants.

Cobinsteinz Farm is an organic vegetable farm that focuses on sustainable practices and growing methods with an emphasis on heirloom and unique varieties. Cobinsteinz Farm is known for is growing over 300+ varieties of tomatoes.
