"Bring your table closer to the farm." Our farm is powered by huge draft horses. We use no tractors and no chemicals, not even those organically approved. We feed and care for our soil and animals as nature has taught us. Chickens are free-range, as in all over the farm and pastures. We supplement with non-GMO grains and/or organic, prepared feeds. Our diversified farm uses sustainable practices to produce vegetables, honey, and eggs.

We farm with draft horses only. We recognize the integrated roles of each of our animals on the farm. For example, not only do the hens produce eggs, they reduce the pest population and help compost the manure with their scratching. We are a host farm laboratory for a Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter and Agricultural Education program in Platte City. Besides vegetables, we are working to grow new farmers.
Heirloom lettuces and tomatoes, raw honey, duck eggs.
Get produce and eggs right here at the farm. Our vegetables are often harvested that very morning. Watch our website to see what's ready for harvest. Contact us before you come out and we'll have your produce ready for you. Families can also join our farm by becoming members of our Harvest Table. Members have a special Market Day here on the farm, buying the produce and the quantities they know their families will enjoy. There is a $10 fee for the season of at least 24 market opportunities. Our vegetables are served at Eden Alley and Grunauer restaurants and The Sundry Market and Deli and are found in the produce aisles at Green Acres in Briarcliff. Our eggs are sold at The Local Pig Charcuterie.
We connect our members with other small farms to increase their access to a variety of farm products and to support the farmers around us. These include Of the Earth Farm, Rayville MO; The Benedictine Monastery, Atchison KS; Oak Leaf Honey Farm, Smithville MO; Pastured Poultry, Jamesport MO and Troque Farms, Buckner MO. We do not charge either the consumer or the farmer for this service and do not gain financially. We ask that each producer observes the Farmer Pledges.
